Kitchen Refurbishment Project Overview

January was a very productive month for our talented team, and this full kitchen refurbishment in Milton Keynes is a perfect example of what we do best.

The project began with a complete strip-out of the existing kitchen, allowing us to start fresh and reimagine the space from the ground up. Every stage of the refurbishment was carefully planned and expertly delivered by our in-house team.

From improving the structure and finishes to installing a stylish new kitchen with bespoke features, this was a true end-to-end transformation.

Phase 1: Full Kitchen Rip-Out

We started by removing the existing kitchen, flooring, fixtures, and fittings to create a clean slate. This allowed us to properly assess the condition of the room and prepare it for the next stages of work.

Trades involved: Strip-out specialists, waste removal.

Phase 2: Floors, Walls, and Ceilings

With the space cleared, we focused on creating a solid, high-quality base:

  • Installed warm, durable LVT flooring throughout
  • Repaired and prepared walls and ceilings
  • Applied a fresh, modern paint scheme to brighten and unify the space

These improvements completely refreshed the room before the new kitchen installation began.

Trades involved: Flooring installers, plasterers, decorators.

Phase 3: Kitchen Installation and Custom Features

Next came the installation of this elegant new kitchen, combining practicality with a clean, contemporary look.

We installed:

  • A full suite of modern kitchen units
  • Bespoke, custom-made shelving
  • Integrated LED lighting for both function and ambience
  • New worktops and appliances, fitted with precision

The custom shelving and lighting add a real touch of character, elevating the kitchen beyond a standard installation.

Trades involved: Kitchen fitters, carpenters, electricians.

Phase 4: Heating, Plumbing, and Finishing Touches

To complete the refurbishment, we carried out several additional upgrades:

  • Installed new radiators for improved comfort
  • Fitted a new boiler
  • Upgraded woodwork, including skirting boards and finishing details
  • Completed final electrical and plumbing connections

Every element was finished to a high standard, ensuring the kitchen not only looks great but works beautifully day to day.

Trades involved: Gas Safe engineers, plumbers, electricians, joiners.

Final Result: A Stylish, Functional Kitchen

The finished kitchen is a warm, welcoming space that combines smart design with everyday practicality. From the LVT flooring and clean paintwork to the bespoke shelving and integrated lighting, every detail reflects the skill and care of our team.

This project is a true demonstration of the range of services Safe and Healthy Homes can deliver under one roof.
